ABOUT

My name is Fanny and I am an illustrator and printmaker. Since graduating from Brighton University in 2006 with a degree in illustration, I have been working as a freelance illustrator.

After university I began using screen printing as a way of applying my images to material and I now hand screen print most of my work whether onto textiles or paper.

Much of my work is inspired by an interest in biology and the systems and patterns that exist in its various specific areas such as anatomy and botany. The diagrams and historical drawings used to represent or demonstrate elements or species of the natural world form my greatest influence especially when in reference to symmetry, scale, intricacy and pattern.
